Postage $aver creates sacking and packaging instructions for each mailing without knowing the weight or thickness of each piece of mail. Therefore, the specific sacking and packaging instructions do not take into account the maximum allowable sack weight or package height. To comply with postal regulations, please consider the following rules, in addition to the specific sacking and packaging instructions on the following pages, when creating your sacks and packages.
For sacks:
1.) Any sack with 250 pieces or more may be split into two or more sacks, with identical labels, with no fewer than 125 pieces in each sack.
2.) Any sack weighing more than 70 pounds must be split into smaller sacks.
For packages:
1.) Any package with 20 pieces or more may be split into two or more packages, with identical labels, with no fewer than 10 pieces in each package.
2.) Any package thicker than 6ΓÇ¥ must be split into smaller packages.
3.) The order of the pieces within each package does not matter.
